I am originally from Des Moines, IA and attended the University of Iowa. There I met my wife, Veronica. We've been married 24 years and have two kids; Abby is 18 and Jake is 15. The other members of our family are our English Springer Spaniels, Digger & Lily. We've lived in the Kansas City Northland for 17 years and can't think of a better place to live and raise a family! We love all the activities Kansas City has to offer like the Chiefs and Royals sports teams. Cars have always been in my blood and I have a need for speed! One of the best experiences I've had was to be able to drive an actual Nascar at the Kansas Speedway. I can't wait to go back. Since I can't own a race car, I've had to settle for the next best thing, a Corvette Z06. I think my kids enjoy rides in it almost as much as me. When I'm not spending time with my family, my other passion is real estate. The best part about my job is that I get to help people achieve their dream home. I started out as a real estate investor and found that my mechanical abilities as well as extensive sales background, were a perfect match for a career in real estate. I obtained my license thinking it would provide a supplement to my real estate investment income.
After a few months, my business took off quickly and I shifted my focus to being a full time realtor. In fact, after my first full year as a realtor, I was awarded the highly prestigious Northland Board of Realtors "Rookie of the Year" in 1999. I went on to be the top producer in my office for several years and continue to be among the top agents in my office. In 2005 our team was the top producer out of over 120 agents. I serve on our office's Agent Leadership Council. I have also served on the Citywide Agent Leadership Council from over 500 Keller Williams agents throughout the Kansas City area. My most recent awards include being voted Best of the Northland's Best Realtor for 2009, 2010 and 2011.
With the success of my business, I've enlisted the help of buyer's agents. Veronica obtained her real estate license several years ago and I've finally convinced her to join me full time. She is responsible for the administrative duties for our team. The Hill Team is able to provide service in both Kansas and Missouri in any price range.
